I think I have some in the attic. I grabbed a box yesterday to see what was in it....Tac Vests. and other stupid shite I will never need.
Although some ceramic plates would be nice. I have a great 10x12 pattern picked out at Dillards.

You can join my pirate fleet. We'll just grab some sailboats and load em up then just get the frick out of dodge. Anybody attempts to approach our armada might just be preyed upon.

Join your fleet?
I already have a fleet?
36 Tayana
45 Hunter
35 Alberg
and whatever I feel like stealing out of the Kemah Marina....There is a badass 60+ footer on E or F dock that I lust for.
Seriously, I think I just went over to the dark side and agreed to get a Beneteau. Ms. Nimble is all hot and bothered. I wanted a 44 Lafitte or Bob Perry of similar design.

Is this the open enrollment period?
I don't know shite about sailing but I can learn and bring guns and ammo.

Auto Pilot is a hell of a thing.
If you can read a compass, you can damn near sail.
That and know the difference between a sheet and a halyard and a furling....

Sailing is: One person per shift knowing what the frick is going on and everyone else tugging on ropes (lines).

Tell me how your signal is doing 100 miles out in the Gulf Bro....

An Aside to the GPS Comment:
3 years ago a person in a 35 Cat was doing the Harvest Moon Race from Galveston to Port A.
Her Generator died and she could not charge up her electronics. She had no formal knowledge of how to read her charts or use a compass.
Also, to get your captain's license, you have to be able to Navigate the Jack Aubrey way.

Really? You can't get a signal driving from Kinder to Alexandria to Jonesville and you think there is cell service in the Gulf?
If you get service, Let me bring my GPS over to you and download your waypoints.
Your GPS will work, Your Radar will work. Your Phone will not work. Your Radio is only as good as the line of site over the horizon. Usually 1.5 x SQRT of height of antenna/eye for horizon.

I've got three captains that could sail your other boats and family familiar enough with the ropes to pull it off. The captains can also become crew on any boat easily obviously.
We'd join your fleet under letter of marque or some shite. lol

And I've talked to Bob Perry a few times. Dude is a legend. He posts on Sailing Anarchy cruising board pretty often.

Which would you take.. the hunter, tayana, or the alberg?
We take whichever one, have two qualified helmsmen/navigators on board and we steal the 60 and put two on that one. Next stop, leeward islands. Or central america. Or brasil. Or wherever the hell we want to go.
I'M IN.
I just got back from the first sail of the year on Cross Lake and there was a J-22 out that had a french couple on it. We intercepted them just to see what species of creature might be out there in January running a kite by himself and discovered he had his girlfriend with him jabbering away in french. I got in front and sheeted in to slow down which in hindsight was completely unnecessary since he was running circles around us later while we were having a palaver.
Had to cede ownership of the lake to the French today.
First time for everything.
