hmmmm

lots of never's and don't want BS up in here I see

flipping thru ESPN yesterday, recruting show, Nkemdiche is on and discussing OM/LSU

OM: Family thing

LSU: Love Miles and Haley and my play fits their style. I love how they are a dirty defense (with a smile) and I can see myself playing the way they play

take it FWIW

I feel he is making us feel better. With amount fo committments we have recieved at DE and DT we would surely lose someone.

Unless Neal is coming in as a FB. He size at DE just boggles me.

But I like the fact that eh is putting us so high. As Mario Edwards did and Clowney did. It only makes us look better overall adn keeps the BRand in the national media on teh recruiting trails. Other kids have to ask themselves why does the best player want to be a Bayou Bengal. What am I missing out on?

But the points that needs to be stressed by LSU is that he can come here and receive a higher standard of coaching from guys that have put numbers in the NFL

LSU has put more guys in the NFL than South Carolina, Clowney will still be at worst a top 3 pick.

LSU puts more guys in the NFL because we recruit more talented players.

I think this Momma and brother stuff is so overrated. For instance, where did Landon's mom want him to go? Yes LSU. Next point, Gerald Willis...GW is not even considering Alabama. Ethan Pocic has a brother that plays for Illinois

This is a good point, obviously it doesn't hold in every case, but more often than not, family ties are pretty strong. Nkemdiche's mom is a legislator in Nigeria, she is probably stronger willed and used to getting what she wants more than Collins mom.

Who is "SB Nation Recruiting" again?

I was about to say, this won't be the first time I've seen those guys make a bad call. Although we all know that there are those forces pushing him to Ole Miss, if he goes where he WANTS to go, then he MAY be a Tiger when all is said and done. At least, that's the vibe I pick up from the whole situation.

All I can say is, "may Landon Collins' force be with him!"

This...

Landon Collins last year....

Ala. I love Bama. Feels like home. Etc. Etc.

LSU. Yeah I know the players. I know the coaches.

I know I posted this before but everytime you heard Landon speak he always had glowing remarks about Bama. When he spoke about LSU it just sounded like there was never much interest. Much in the same way look at how RN speaks about LSU compared to Ole Miss. There's no denying RN's heart is here. RN is the one who has to be comfortable for 3-4 years not his momma. Did RN's mother make his first commitment for him? Nah RN made it himself. So that leads me to believe if he made his own decision to commit to Clemson then he's going to make his own decision to follow his heart.

Hey guys.

I've read a lot about RNs brother at OM being the main factor in OM being the perceived leader.

My question is, what was Denzel Nkimdiche's recruitment like?

How highly rated was he?

Who were the contenders, and his finalists?

Was RN already pretty well known as a future blue chipper when DN was being recruited?

Denzel looked pretty damn good this year against us, so I'm wondering if teams knew ahead of time how good RN was going to be, and if teams maybe didn't think that this could be a possibility and try to get DN to bring in RN as well.

Any insight on any of that from the recruiting board experts?

Is Robert Nkemdiche's mother the lady that keeps sending me the emails about my unclaimed lottery winnings that I need to have wired in? If so, me and her need to talk.

Not even rated by Rivals.

I would guess Robert was known when Denzel was recruited, but a year ago, everyone was saying he was going to Alabama and that his HS coach, a Bama grad, would push him there. So, if you are asking if OM went after Denzel to get Robert, I would say no.

Maybe he is like Gunner Kiel and follows what his Mommy tells him to do. Maybe he does not have the chest to venture out on his own.

Wow. Thanks for the info. After seeing him play this year I just assumed he was a 3 star type guy out of HS.

He's done really really well for himself. I thought he looks like a really solid player. Obviously he's grown a lot too.

If RN has the same type of work ethic as his brother, with obviously much more natural ability, the guy really will be something special.

Here's hoping we get him.

I'm surprised he was rated and is at an SEC school. I was thinking he must be a 2 star and his named was called a lot when we played.

There was some story a couple of weeks ago about the Ms Leg looking into a job offer his dad, who is a Dr, got, not sure where that stands or if it helps us.

Denzel is pretty good. He was just a "miss" by alot of schools. Had he gone to UGA, RN would already be committed there.

Why would he be impressed with the staff we have? Have you heard our own fans ridicule and mock them incessantly on this board? I'm not saying you I'm assuming you don't based upon your post nor do I, but come on man.

He plays defenses, even the most ardent negatigers give the defensive staff credit. However, players do not see things the same way as fans. Even most fans are not nearly as negative as the ones that come to these message boards.

I think the truth lies in the middle FWIW... so I will split the baby and both of yall are wrong.

The staff is an great staff and the program is TOP 5 nationally - elite program.

I have heard from friends of mine (old and young) who have no idea of this board and some of them are puzzled by numerous things.

With all that said, getting back to Nkemdiche... why would he want to come here???

Obvious, I already said it any top recruit would be interesting - elite program and passionate fans. Cut it how you like, this is the truth.

I'm not saying there are not people out side this board that are negative about the coaching staff and the program (I know plenty). I just mean if you come to these boards, you'd think everyone see it the same way. The more important point is the players don't see things the same way the fans do. The recruits see a team that is 34-6, is usually ranked high. They know the team lost, but dwell on it the way fans do, especially the minutae, like not running on this play or not passing on that one. That's all. These kids are 17-18, they think they are invincible and think where ever they go, they will win big.
