| Was baseball more exciting during the "steroid" era? (Posted on 1/10/13 at 3:03 pm)
I think you could make the case that baseball was more fun to watch in the 90s and early 2000s with guys like Bonds, McGuire, Clemens dominating. Just seems like there is less interest in baseball now than there was then. Dare I say that perhaps MLB should have just left the juicers alone?

yeah, it probably was to the casual fricking moron fans who will turn off an MLB game if the score isn't 10-8 in the 4th with guys hitting HRs every inning.

Well that's completely false. But go ahead and tell us some more of your baseless and outright wrong theories on the Baby Boomer's attitudes toward sports.

Today's baseball has all of the worst features of 90s ball (station to station baseball, interminable pitching changes) with none of the good things (lots of homers, strikeout pitchers going insane). But I prefer 1980s style, when you could win almost any way: speed like the Cardinals, pitching like the Dodgers, balance like the Tigers, or power like the A's. Great time for baseball.

This is thru 2010, took a hit in the recession but 2011 and 2012 rebounded.
