any recommendations?

we (me and the wife) watch a few including modern family, BBT, 30 rock, the office, etc.

there are shows that just one of us watches:
her- the new normal, whatever the matthew perry show is

me- workaholics

we started watching "happy endings" when it started airing and are really enjoying and it made me think that i'm not really watching anything that has less than 3 seasons under its belt besides happy endings.

You really need to add Parks and Rec to your line up. And don't give up after the first season.

Eta: my bad. I missed the entire point of your post

Fox and ABC Tuesday nights are pretty good.

If you like Happy Endings, give New Girl a try. The characters are less annoying (Happy Endings characters are written to be annoying, it's not an insult to the show).

If you liked My Name is Earl, try Raising Hope. Same creators, similar group of lovable, white trash dysfunctionals.

The most out there one would be Don't Trust the B in Apt 23. Don't judge it by its name. It's a decent show that is still finding its legs.

Ban and Kate is not bad. Not really edgy in any way, but well written and has some potential.

The Mindy Project is uneven, alternating between sappy unwatchability to really effing funny. Potential is there as well.

Community starts back up in February for what could be its last 13 episodes.

All of the shows I mentioned are better than The New Normal. I thought Go On (Matthew Perry) was okay, but Tuesdays got to be too crowded for me to continue watching it.

I think they are both on season 3, but we enjoy The Middle and Raising Hope.

this is a point of contention with me and the mrs. we watched the first season and i wanted to keep watching and she didn't but i didn't continue on my own. if this board has taught me anything it's that JGL is a god. if it's taught me anything else, it's that Arrested development is the best comedy ever (i do love it). but if there's a 3rd thing it's that i need to just pick up parks and rec again.

we did like earl. i miss that show. i thinked we watched the pilot but didn't stick with it.

saw a 5 min clip once and was actually rolling. i wonder what it's chances are of not getting cancelled?

saw a snippet of this too and didn't like. once again, i didn't see enough to judge.

i love community, it's probably my favorite comedy on air (you probably can't see my avi) but didn't list it b/c it's been on hiatus for so long.

go on just didn't hold my attention. i hear my wife lol'ing from the new normal a couple of times an episode but she also worships glee so you know...frame of reference.

thanks for the info. i'll set the dvr to record some of these. i also have shows i need to catch up multiple seasons on like the league, always sunny, and i think i'm a season behind on archer.

Fox came out recently and said that it likes the creative direction of all their Tuesday night shows. So it looks good for all of them to get another season at least. The ratings aren't particularly strong for any of them, but they know the potential is there with DVR and internet views being strong.

It sounds like they're trying to be the first to adapt to how people are watching TV nowadays. They want to build conistency in their line up and said that keeping the Tuesday block as is will help with that.

He/She's trolling. He/She intentionally has the worst taste of anyone alive. That show is awful

Yea that's it. Started out a little slow but has definitely found its groove. Zach Cregger is great on the show

We seem to have similar tastes (the Office, Modern Family, Workaholics). And this board got me to watch Arrested Development and I love it too. Parks and Rec is probably my favorite show of them all and I thought Season 1 was average. Definitely pick it back up.
