Why does Monty let Aminu shoot?

Aminu should never ever shoot. Ever. There are zero circumstances where it is beneficial for him to take a jumpshot. Even with one second left on the shotclock, I would rather him not shoot just so that he doesn't accidently shoot with 3 seconds. We should just relieve him of ever even having to make decisions about shooting.
So why has Monty not addressed this? It is either because
a) He is completely incompetent or
b) He is afraid to hurt Aminu's feelings/confidence by telling him not too shoot
Neither are the slightest bit acceptable.

what does this even mean? You shoot, you ride the bench. I don't think he's telling him to shoot. But he's not making near enough of a point not to. His shots really just kill this offense.
