TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - University of Alabama head coach Nick Saban announced Wednesday the hiring of Greg Brown as Alabama's secondary coach. Brown has three decades of coaching experience, including 15 years as an assistant coach in the NFL. He spent the last three seasons in the college ranks at Colorado and Arizona. Brown takes over for Jeremy Pruitt, who was recently named the defensive coordinator at Florida State.

A very lengthy NFL background. A solid college background as well, outside of his time at Colorado. He will be more of a teacher than recruiter, but I'm fine with that.

i would have figured nick would have brought in another young guy to groom as a db coach. he's been doing that pretty much since like 02 when cheeze left i think.

He spends most of his time with CBs. The DB coach is usually found running drills in practice with safeties.
