I came across this column by Mark Bradley, the sports writer for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, with his preseason rankings for 2013. He has LSU outside of the top 10, ranked 17th at the start of next season. I know, I know--who cares what some sports writer thinks about LSU so far before the start of the season? I agree, but I do find it interesting that someone who is outside of the LSU community sees us as falling so far out of the national championship conversation for next year. If Bradley is marking us down, there will be others who will do so as well.

Notre Dame started this season unranked and got invited to play in the championship. They just didn't show up for it.

It's time we flew under the radar. That's usually when we have our best seasons!

Going to be a UGA fan, therefore probably thinks UGA, Bama, and Florida will definitely beat us. The problem with most preseason rankings this far in advance is that none of those guys knows the young talent we have. THey base those raknings solely on returning starters and LSU has obviously lost a fair few.
