Seeing as how the OT lounge as it is contains primarily WHYI, WOWYHI, and babe threads, reposted articles from reddit or other sites, poorly constructed troll threads, and other such dreck, what reasoning is being used to create another duplicate board?
If you have some piles of absolutely filthy laundry (we're talking muddy, cruddy, oily, hunked up stuff) and some nicer, cleaner clothes and you have two washers, does it make more sense to jumble the loads together with no segregation, and stick there hodgepodge in both machines?
Or, do you separate the cleaner, nicer stuff from the filthy stuff, and wash each in a separate machine?
If you are going to have polluted loads, why not at least try to delineate the two?

SR is a separate site from TD...TD's OT is Louisiana centric...many SR users would rather a non-Louisiana centric OT board.

I mean, I suppose I get that aspect, kind of. But do you even really want cross board traffic? Because it seems like you'd be discouraging it with two separate OT lounges, diluting quality content creation and having duplicate Kate Upton (or whoever the trollop or topic du jour is) threads.
Unless you mean to make a "babe board", which might actually net better traffic than two OTs to proliferate such things.

I'm sure they will too, oh cluckstered one, seeing as how you're the tycoon and all.
But is the main draw for the OT (and the SECOT) intended to be gawking at women, or topical, non political talk?
Seems all the WYHI and other such stuff is cluttering out what the intent is.

Board start off topic-based and become both topic and community based...there is a "community" on the SEC Rant that would prefer their own non-sports talk forum...it's a natural evolution.

Hmmmm...interesting.
But how do you intend to prevent dilution with broad based issues already being discussed, as well as constant duplicates?
Or do you just not care about having the same topics on both the SECr and TD?

I can see why you are doing it, but the blame for the Louisiana-centric also lies with them.
THey could post more stuff on the OT as it is now. They don't. They just complain about how LA-centric it is.
