2007 - Offense ranked 9 -- Team rank #1
2010 - Offense tanked 81 -- Team ranked #8
2011 - Offense ranked 57 -- Team ranked #2
2012 - Offense ranked 77 -- Team ranked #14**

**easily a top 10 team however.

I deleted 08 and 09 b/c No many people could have made that offense work.

This is the glaring stat. We have had good "D" in those years, but horrid "O". Sunshine pumpers can argue all they want, but it's in plain black and white

2007 top 10 offense National Championship.
After that Offense has been the reason we've fell short. So I don't care how much money you make as a head coach, you need to be able to understand a change has to happen. We bring in good talent on that side of the ball, but we don't get the production.

If after 5 years execution is still the problem, then that falls on coaching. Either you’re not teaching correctly or you’re not bringing in the right kids.

Yes, you sound grounded and realistic with your criticisms.

It's almost shameful to have the talent we do and not at least be top 25 in offense

Just looking at this is painful....

Average rank the last 3 years is #71 / Completely unacceptable....LSU should/could be as explosive as any team in the country.

yeah 55th in the nation is pretty decent.

Our offense under Miles is and will be pathetic until he gets over his stubborn habits

Not going to happen. He is reminding me of Dinardo now.

yup. it is very "obvious" to me, captain obvious, that we have had an extended period of rough execution and there always has been an excuse for it. i have lost my confidence in LSU's offensive capabilities.

Maybe Miles believes that a good defense is a good offense so no need to take chances???

But a bad offense wears down you good defense,
see Florida and Clemson for example.

That's exactly what he believes and that's the problem.

Nothing ticks me off more than to watch teams like the New Orleans Saints try to march down the field with less than a minute and no timeouts prior to halftime.

Pretty sure that is what most LSU fans want Miles to do

Not that it really matters, the point is still valid. Everywhere I've read the last week has our total offensive ranking as:

2010 - 86th
2011 - 86th
2012 - 87th

Amazingly consistent if nothing else.

Don't laugh, but it kinda does. '95-'97, DiNardo won 26 games (in 11 game regular seasons) and 3 bowl games following the Hallman misery. That was a true rebuilding effort following 6 straight losing seasons. That being said, in '98 LSU was preseason #7 and favored to win the West for the 1st time. Defense blew balls under new DC Tepper, but offense was outstanding. 1998 = 4-7 season. Morris Watts, LSU's OC, wasn't happy with that result and wanted a change on D. DiNardo STUBBORNLY refused to do so, which led to Watts' departure. DiNardo didn't need a "so called offensive genius" to run an offense he already knew how. The next year, both the O and D were deplorable...leading to 3-8 which led to DiNardo's exit.

With that being said...LES NEEDS TO MAKE A frickING CHANGE and more importantly, he NEEDS TO KEEP HIS DICKBEATERS OFF OF THE O'S PLAYBOOK AND SCHEME. If he does that, I don't care if he stays another 20 years. If not, the fall could be hard and fast.

All LSU fans want is offensive consistency that translates into at least a sub top 50 offensive. How Miles does that is his business; not doing that is our business.

The offensive woes at this point are mostly on the coaches. Until the numbers reach the sub top 50 consistently, criticizing or making excuses for players is all bs, not when the offensive numbers show up pitifully poor for the last several years.
