Teo isn't in the same league as Minter

It's a joke him garnering all those awards and 1st team All American honors while Minter was on 2nd and 3rd string teams.

His team being undefeated helped with those awards.

The media was infatuated with his 7 ints.

I know, just wanted to get that off my chest though. The guy was invisible last nite.

Usually I hate on these types of threads, but this one is legit. Minter was an absolute beast this season and Te'o just crapped the bed last night. He either wasn't feeling well or he wanted no part of that Bama running game, because he was whiffing tackles left and right.

Either Teo just played terrible or he wouldn't have been a great player in the SEC. I am leaning towards the latter.

On the contrary, he was seen front and center missing tackles left and right when he wasn't being completely walled off by Jones or Warmack.

Teo is average. Period.
He had 2 cool interceptions and 5 that got thrown into his chest that I would've caught. He wasn't close to the top of the leaderboard in tackles and had 1 TFL on the year.
His hype is one of the most absurd and transparent in modern day CFB.

Agreed. Te'O is a good athlete, an average linebacker. Minter easily outperforms Te'O.

I still believe Te'o will have a good NFL career although he was overrated in college.

Teo's stock fell hard last night. Minter moved up, fact.

Has the media talked about his awful game yet?
I can't bring myself to watch or read ESPN.

Who are the voters on the All-American Teams and the various awards? Ah, the American sportswriter at his best!
Serous questions, who do you think gets drafted higher, Minter or Teo?

Teo on hype and size. Minter is a tad smaller.
Minter will be a better pro.

Pro teams will care more about the combines. Teo certainly doesn't look bigger than Minter. Maybe his measurements aren't accurate.

But he was a Heisman candidate. Doesn't that count for something? He was a Lou Holtz homerism, that has to count for something. He wore a green uniform, now that has to count for something. Finally, his helmet was gold, BAM there you go, he was better. Wasn't he? Guess not.

depends on measurables imo. Teo was overhyped, but the dude was a pretty productive player in college.
