that would give Bama a challenge outside of the SEC. I just don't see anyone else who keep it within 14 points.
And FWIW, I think Oregon would still be outmatched if this matchup happened.

Ahh, good catch. They slipped my mind. However, I think Stanford is like a poor man's Bama. Very similar styles, but Bama pulls in the higher caliber talent.

for now yeah. the only teams outside the SEC that have the capabilities to compete with the top of the SEC are all down right now (USC, UT), or underachievers (OU, FSU)
I do think OSU with Meyer will be competing in the near future with the team he's building up there.

I think any team with a high-powered passing attack could keep their team in the game.
Clemson would be a decent choice.

Bama had 2 close games if you call them that(LSU and UGA in SECCG) and one loss(aTm). If you think Oregon or anyone else had a better chance wake me up. Oregon's QB ain't no Johnny M.
