I ordered the Blu-ray on this. All the reviews were very good. Started watching last night. If you have not seen this then consider doing so. It's amazing how many similarities that exist today with the political climate in the mid 1800's. And I'm not talking about subject matter as much as human behavior in regards to U.S. politics. How the political parties disintegrated over divisive issues and ushered in a new Republican Party. Also interesting how the Whigs and democrats split along the issue of slavery and who they supported. And how succeeding from the Union was based on the election of Abraham Lincoln who was not even on most of the southern state ballots. Anyway, very factual DVD so far.

Is it factual in the sense that it portrays the war as a war of northern aggression?
