Is it positive from recruiting stand point? Does it mean you can become NFL ready after 3 years if you go to LSU?

Imo, yes it is positive because players want the best chance to get to the next level. If a HS recruit sees a lot of players getting drafted early out of LSU they would rather go there similar to Kentucky basketball players.

Which is why we play true freshmen. 3 years of playing time. Redshirt sophomores can leave after 2 years of playing time. Use em while u got em !

Sure, I suppose however you choose to look at it.

It's just so over and beyond what any team , ourselves included has ever done.

Only retards think it's a negative thing because they think something must be wrong for these players to leave early.

I can see if players transfer or whatever, but everyone declaring all have solid draft stock as juniors. They earned this right on the field.

The real reward for lsu is when these players decide to come back either during the offseason or after their careers to finish their degree.

Very positive. From a selfish fan standpoint, it sux because you always want to keep your arsenal intact. Great advertising for the program to be represented in the draft by so many tiger football alumni. "Come here and we'll put you in the league". That's the risk/reward with a high profile/talent laden program. Goes with the territory. How many Kentucky players are declaring?

People complaining now will be talking about how awesome it is when we get 11 people drafted.

Basketball is a bad comparison. It's a completely different sport. If you lose juniors in football at a steady pace you are ok. If you lose half your defense at one time that's not good for team performance next year. This also means none of your sophomores were that great.

I have no issues with players leaving that will be drafted in rounds 1-4. My problem is with players leaving that may not get drafted at all: Simon, Loston and Ford. Why leave if you will be an undrafted free agent. Sheer stupidity if you ask me.

simon's measurables alone will get him drafted. people seem to forget he was projected as a 1st/2nd round guy coming into the season, and it's not like he had an awful season like jevan snead a few years ago

Simon will be drafted and ford or loston have not declared.
And if ford does it's because he sees the writing on the wall.
He is 4th on the depth chart

Huge positive. These kids don't care about college. They want the fastest way to get paid.

Simon will be going no lower than 4th(knocked himself out of a second round pick). Ford leaves because 6 touches aint worth it to stay here one more year.
