Anyone hunt it or familiar with it, I cant even find a map for it. How is the duck hunting in there?

I've hunted it for years. It is hit or miss depending on the water level. I'm not around this year so I haven't hunted nor do I know the water level. I have had some of the best hunts of my life in there though, if you can find the birds.

Depends on how much walking you are willing to do. I would always prefer lower water, the ducks are more concentrated and more willing to work. Also, it cuts down the number of people who can't get out there in their boats. If the waters high the ducks are all over the place, and so are the people.

Walking is no problem we do that a lot at another public area we hunt. You cant see a whole lot from google earth but have spotted a handful of what looks to be timber holes. I have pretty much been told to pick cut/bayou, take the boat in as far as you can go then get out and start walking until you find a hole. Does that sound about right?

Yeah, I've basically given up on this shitty arse season. Ive almost lost my desire to go hunting and am not even enjoying it anymore. Hunt after hunt of little to no birds has buried my heart.

Me too. I love wood ducks just as much as the next guy but damn. The big birds have left me heart broken one too many times.

I have made some good hunts this year but dont really have a spot I can go to whenever I want on this side of the state. We hunt public back home but that over 2 hours away. Have been pissed about how few hunts I have been able to make this year so decided to do something about it.

So a couple of questions.
1. Can you get around in IB with a outboard or do you need a surface drive?
I am assuming with all this rain the water levels should be pretty high which brings me to my next question.
2. From your experience with lots of water and high levels like this I am guessing the birds would be super spread out, do you think it even worth the time?
