Nick Saban and Alabama have won 2 national championships and playing for a third (they will most likely win) so they will have won 3 of 4 of the national titles. LSU will have lost 3 of their bowl games in the last 4 years. God this is depressing. I think as good as we hope we can be Miles just doesn't have the drive that Saban does. I think Miles is a good coach and will continue to lead LSU to 10 or 11 win seasons but in the end I think we will be a bridesmaid.
Bob Stoops and Oklahoma seem to be the direction we are going, a good team, recruit well but just not the best.

I think miles is a bad sec coach, but I think he is a great dad and family man. When you talk bout Saban he is a work acholic. He cares about his family and im sure he makes sure they have what they need, but you get the feeling his job is 1st, and it shows.

Tough. Our contests against Bama have always been close (save that abortion in January) and being 3-4 against Bama isn't all that bad all things considered.

Give LSU and Les Miles Sabans schedule the past four years, along with favorable officiating and of course, MULLIGANS, and tell me what you think would have happened.
shite, I can name three or four current coaches now who would have achieved what Saban has with all the factors I listed above. Hell, I bet there are a couple of coaches that would not have needed the Mulligans, easy schedules, or officiating to pull of 3 of 4 with a damn near perfect record. And no, I'm not saying Miles was one of them.
You people are fricking stupid. It really amazes me.

I get as frustrated if not more than alot of people but damn give the man his due. He is on par with the top coaches today.
The underlying problem is that Miles is not Saban and that right there is the reason he can never be better or even with him in alot of peoples eyes

He's a great coach, don't get me wrong, but you people act like Saban is unbeaten the past four years.
Everyone in the world says Miles is the "luckiest coach alive". That moniker clearly belongs to Saban the past two seasons. Of course, a lot of this luck was scripted as well.

cj2002- you can paint Miles being the perfect family man and Nick as the workaholic all day and Nick spends little time with his family. At the end of the day, being the family guy does not win any games. The HC at LSU being a workaholic and not spending a given amount of time with his family does not cost me a dime and I don't give a chit. Take names and kick arse.

He has 3 crystal balls, going for a 4th and will be projected to win a 5th at the end of 2013. Face it Miles lovers- Lester is the 3rd best coach in the west division. Within the next two seasons he will drop two more spots in the west. Sit back and watch. We are all going to value this season within two years. Its the best Lester will do from here on out. Book it!
