not any BIG NAMES, but a slew of guys who are hungry and ready to make name for themselves. I always thought some of the Big Names on the 2012 defense were a bit over hyped. Who are some players you think might blow up next year?

I got...

Rasco
Freak
Thompson
Mills

I was pretty dang impressed with Mills as a true freshman. I think hell be fine. Collins was alright, but I hope someone can really step up at the nickel spot

A big plus with the LSU football program: When you lose starters to graduation or the NFL draft, you may have a ton of younger players replacing them, but they have a ton of experience coming into the position because of their playing time as a freshman.

I certainly know this to be true with our secondary. Not sure about our d-line as I'm not well versed in who is rotating in and out, although I'd bet we were rolling 3-4 deep.

OLB Kwon
OLB Debo
End Rasco/Hunter
DT Freak/Gilmore
DT Ego/Bain
End Nkimdeche
CB Mills
S Martin
S Loston
CB Priest

How would this look to everyone?

I really like Collins as a cover guy. and the LB corps just seems chock full of playmakers.

Will T. Jones be back next year? I have not kept up with the ineligible guys.

he started the bowl game, and he's not really a pro prospect at this point, so I'd guess yeah.

Dline needs to be great next year. They will disguise whatever problems we have. Problem is, Dline is the biggest question mark right now. DEs will have little to no experience. Ego hasn't done anything since he has been here and Johnson is questionable as an every down DT despite having immense ability. I haven't been overly impressed with Rasco yet either and he saw enough PT this year.

upcoming D looks good to me, OL is not deep enough imo. I think Chavis is doing a good job with his guys. Didn't appear seamless when our OL starters got hurt. We need some depth on that OLine.

+1

Can't wait to see what freak and rasco can do as 1st teamers getting the lion's share of the snaps. Also can't wait for some of these off season battles, barrow and feist at mlb, jones, jones and alexander at olb ect ect.
