Why the Kings would take this, I don't know

Wouldn't want him anyway. Big stats, will never take you far into the post season.

Anything? You wouldn't trade Xavier Henry and a 2021 2nd round pick for him?

Nothing. Zero. Zilch.

I wouldn't trade for him under virtually any circumstances.

love Thorton as much as the next Tiger fan, but these (2) are on seperate levels. If Thorton ever improves his defense, then we'll talk.

Not really. I'm on the same boat. There are some guys that I never, ever want anywhere near my roster. I'm sure some will remember my Lamar Odom meltdown. While not as bad, that's how I feel about Cousins. Dude will always be a head case.

Be prepared. Somebody will almost certainly require a link to prove it.

At least he is on the floor to play defense, even if it's not that good.

So much anger for ol' Cousins. Like he got into with US or something.

I'm all about econd chances, so I say go for it if it's feasible.

frick MARCUS THORNTON

God damn. I'm a LSU Basketball fan before anything else, but get the frick over it. He is not a Hornet, nor will he ever be a Hornet again.

For the record, I don't mean that first part towards him, but towards the drooling tards that constantly bring him up.

The only "anger" in this thread was my response to the Thornton stupidity. Cousins is just a mental midget and has all the makings of a locker room cancer. I don't want that anywhere near a young team.

No anger for Cousins whatsoever. I feel nothing towards him.

I just wouldn't someone like him on my team under any circumstances.

He has been a POS at all levels. Here's his draft profile from NBADraft.net coming out of Kentucky:

quote:

Weaknesses: Cousins' lack of maturity and mental focus is evident in his negative body language and lack of composure ... He tends to lose his head, looking disinterested or frustrated if things don't go his way. Also does not appear receptive to coaching, tuning out his coaches when they attempt to give him advice on the bench ... The big question is whether it's merely a lack of maturity due to age or something deeper ...

You can find the same stuff about him in HS. And now the pros. Dude is just a complete headcase. He will not change. Ever.

Anger, disdain, disgust. No love lost.

If there is one phrase I genuinely hate its using cancer to refer to a unruly element in a locker room. If a single player can bring our organization down, then our organization would never succeed to begin with.

Way I see it, give him the rest of this season, next season and if he doesn't shape up, he's out of here. But in the interim, you've got a big body that brings offense to the table.

I wonder what Zach Randolph's scouting reports said of him way back in the day.

Amen, but there is the point that the Hornets have nothing to offer the Kings for Cousins. Cousins is already a top 5 Center and, to quote Gordon guys on here, is all-star caliber. He is their franchise player that averaged 18/11 last season. He has been somewhat bad this year, but is averaging 17/10. The only players the Kings would consider would be Gordon (money is way off), Davis (no chance in hell) and Anderson in a package. The Kings already have Robinson and Thompson, so they don't need a PF. They still can't make their minds up in-between Evans and Thornton, so they don't really need Gordon either. I just don't see a protected 1st getting it done..

None of those things. I feel nothing towards him.

I just don't want him. He's not worth it. He has been a undisciplined malcontent at LITERALLY all levels of his basketball career.
