We have to stop subsidizing the expansion of government reliant people. There has to be a cap on how much one family can receive from the federal government that is not changed by number of children. Has capping assistance at a certain level ever been brought up or addressed in Washington?

Agreed. I'm a hardass that would like to see the whole system disregarded and replaced by a dollar-for-dollar credit for certain charitable giving, which would support the poor. There is a difference in character between the poor that go to churches and beg vs. the poor that suck the government tit.
But I know that will never happen, so limits are the best reform we can hope for.
No kids = 3 month limit on welfare checks/food stamps. Can get an additional 9 months, but you have to pick up trash on the side of the road or do something for the public good.
Kids = 6 month limit with the work option for 6 months. If you go into the work option, voucher system for private daycare.

Agreed - but it is too late. The percentage of people who can just vote themselves a portion of your wealth combined with the number of fringe-radicals who care only about their narrow little interests (all of whom the DEMs promise to continue) has made it impossible to turn this wagon around.
Wish it could be stopped, but we just lost the last opportunity for that. By the end of this term, we will have more than enough additional dependency-driven voters and enough politically driven federal justices, that there is no hope for a change.
Normal Americans are being out-bred by the new dependent class and the one-issue voters are being placated.
The only way this could be reversed without a physical revolution would be for the mainstream media to begin pointing out the hypocrisy and corruption of the ruling class.
The MSM has been very good at outing any 'conservative' abuses - but they have been even better at avoiding (even protecting and advocating) worse excesses of the 'progressives.'
not a good prognosis for the future - imho

Its sad to say and im sure Ill be called a racist but the town I grew up in(Tuscaloosa) has an exploding population of people who are government dependent. Every city school is now majority black and majority free lunch(their family is eligible for food stamps). A majority of county schools are now like this as well. This was not the case when I was a kid not too long ago.

And I bet the test scores are soaring too! 
There should be a strict cap, not related to having more kids like it is now. They also should have to do some trash pickup or something for community service in return. Didn't Odummy want to fix roads and build more infrastructure, there's your workforce get to it!

If you had grown up in a white rural county you could make this statement as well & not be considered racist.

while we're at it, food stamps is what we're talking about here.
A report just came out that there are less than 4000 people in Georgia on traditional welfare. That's a state with twice the population of LA or AL.

If saying that makes you feel good about what Obama did then good for you,but I saw democrats in DC who said the same thing that I have.So do you think the liberal stAtes will ease the restrictions that Obama ok'd. And do you think the federal government has ever held money from states that don't follow their rules? Would Obama do this? Why do you hate poor people and families and want to keep them In the bondage of government endlessly?
