Curtis Lofton doesn't think so.

He won't be there in the second, and will be a reach that early in the first.

MLB is our only solid position on defense. Pass

I doubt Gaydell even gives us back our second round pick

Unfortunately like he and Sheppard before him who I both really wished we could have gotten, were already solid at that position.
Now Ogletree at the OLB spot, daddy wants

Probably not. Any other LSU players you feel should be drafted? How about Mettenberger? I've heard we're a little thin at the QB position.

If he's available in the fourth, I say we snag him

I love LSU just as much as any other Tiger Fan, but the Saints need the best Talent available at the time we choose. If an LSU player may fall into this pick, so be it. But to chase one simply because he is from LSU is just plain dumb.

He is projected as a 3rd rounder. Which is pretty low IMO because manti teo is projected to be a top 10 pick and minter is every bit as good as him.

It will all depend on where he runs. If 4.7 or better he'll be early 2nd. Any slower an will prob have to play ILB in a 3-4 therefore dropping a bit

He will be a steal if he makes it to the third round. I know I sound like a biased lsu fan but I objectively think he will be a solid NFL player

Minter can only play middle linebacker and that seems to be about the only position the Saints are solid at right now so picking Minter makes absolutely no sense

I would, but in the second round. I think he can be a beast.

Why should we take Minter?

We don't need a MLB as badly as we need to upgrade at DE, OLB, S, CB or left tackle.

Because the Saints are obligated to draft every former LSU player
