1 lb ground deer meat
1 lb ground sausage
kidney beans
diced tomatoes
diced onion
minced garlic
some beer
some cumin
some chili powder
some salt/pepper

I'm sure I'm missing something. I usually just start with deer meat, sausage, beans, tomatoes, then the rest is kinda too taste.

Tried this last winter from Don Dubuc's website. Came out pretty damn good. Added red pepper to my liking. I also let it simmer for a couple hours, mostly because there was beer to drink and a game on the tube.

2 lbs ground deer meat
1 medium onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
4 cloves garlic
1 can tomato sauce
4 Tbsp chili powder
1 Tbsp oregano
2 Tbsp cumin
1 tsp basil
1 can (16 oz) pinto beans

Brown meat. Add bell pepper and onion and cook until onions are clear. Add the rest of the ingredients and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 45 minutes.
