Cherry picking 2006-2007 as record breaking years for LSU doesn't make Miles stand out from the rest of the SEC

you're right.....his record does

Georgia under MR has a comparable record.
Florida under Meyer had a comparable record.
Bama under Saban (esp since 2008 61-7) has a BETTER record
Texas A&M in its first season: better if they win their bowl game

ETA: Spurrier had a pretty good run in the SEC as well

Try again.

-Alabama has broken several offensive records under Saban
-Florida has broken several offensive records under Meyer
-Arkansas has broken offensive records under Petrino
-Miss State has had the most points scored over a span of the last three years than any span in its history
-Ole Miss had the most points scored over a span of 2008-2010 than any span in its history under Houston Nutt
-Texas A&M's offense this season and the broken records speak for themselves
-Georgia's offense has scored more since 2005 than any span in its history
-Auburn's offense with Cam Newton...broke several records

Alabama, yes I agree

Arkansas, what has that got them
Miss State, what has that got them
Ole miss, same

Cam Newton was a beast
Tebow was a beast
LSU beat A&M
Georgia hardly plays anybody out the West

My Point is that even with those offense's improving they hardly do shite with them, except Bama!!

try what again? you named 3 really good coaches. so what?

name 5 schools that have a better record than LSU since 2005

i'm amazed at the lengths some of you idiots will go to just to discredit the guys accomplishments

Les gives stud a list of plays for that game's script on Tuesday and Wednesday..and Stud calls from that list.

Just so you realize, the biggest issue we have on offense isn't with the actual playcalling...but with the development of the offensive line (particularly pass protection) and the lack of sophistication in the passing game.

Now, if you want to blame that on Les as well, go ahead. But, you are waaaaaaaaay oversimplifying the issue if you think the solution is to simply let Stud just call the plays he wants.

You said nothing to refute the point. I even forgot to mention USCe under Spurrier making it TEN teams.

Aside from Bama's two (prob 3) NCs, Two NCs for FLA, an NC for Auburn

What has our pitiful offenses since 2008 gotten us?

Tebow
Newton

Both those guys beat everyone by themselves..

Since they left neither school has done much!!

If LSU or any team in the SEC has those guys they win NC

You do realize that's a "biased" sample right? Where was Saban in 2005? A&M? How long did Meyer stay at Florida? Spurrier coming back to the SEC and coaching a lesser team.

I could flip that logic and simply ask: What would Miles' record be if he were coaching at USCe since 2005? Ole Miss? What was Spurriers record in the 90's? Saban's since 2008?

You've basically proven two things in this thread by forcing others to bring in logic and rationality into this conversation: Miles really isn't above the pack record wise when all factors are considered, and basically every offense in the SEC is breaking records and that lack of offense since 2008 has cost us multiple NCs.

Compelling stuff.

I get it now. When OTHER teams do it, it's the PLAYERS. When LSU does it...it's Miles. Convenient.

What have we done since 2007 offensively? Who did we lose again? SABAN's recruits. OH SNAP!

don't care...not the point

hypotheticals don't count. he's been at LSU since 2005...that is we in the business call a fact.

really good. but again...not the point

i asked a simple question....name 5 teams with a better record than LSU since 2005. Not only did you not do it....you went out of your way to try to discredit his accomplishments. why would a so-called LSU fan do that??

compelling stuff...

Yep. Everyone wants to harp on the offensive play calling on our last possession and yet fail to realize that we had them stopped on 4th and 16 an they pick it up.
Also I'm not one to bitch about refs, but even my Bama friends were saying the calls were bs.

well the def had been on the field the entire game and pretty much all of the 4th quarter. Clemson ran 100 + plays against that def. That is about a game and a half on average.

AND the reason they on the field so much is because the offense blew and couldnt gain more than 1 yard in the fourth quarter.

Clemson had 36 first downs. that should not happen against LSUs defense

Because you obvious can't comprehend what a loaded question is. It's a question with built in premises you are conveniently ignoring. How many of those teams have had the same coach since 2005 who came in with a ready made program from the start? ZERO (the closest being MR at Georgia and he has a similar record while not starting with a NC caliber team).

s. why would a so-called LSU fan do that??

When did Les Miles start equaling LSU?

When I bring in a true perspective on Les Miles with you Choctaw, I feel like a parent finally telling his kid Santa Clause isn't real.

i agree but the clemson ran twice as many plays as us so of course they will wear down a def and rack up many more yds

All im saying is LSU's offense didnt so the def any favors. Actually the def has carried this team over the past two years.

and for miles and his staff to throw 3 times on that final drive only hurt teh def even more.

don't care...there are teams all over the country that have had the same coach for just as long if not longer. answer the question

There's the problem. You are intentionally asking a loaded and misleading question and that's why I ignore the question.

it's not loaded or misleading. it's actually quite simple, but you want to add all these if's and buts to try to make it seem as if its loaded.

how many teams have a better record than LSU since 2005....in the entire country?

They were talking that those two guys could be the greatest ever to play college, yes it is the players, after they left they both went to shite

They haven't won, LSU is still winning

Tebow was going nowhere, but Florida
LSU did not pay Cam enough

Are really blaming our recruiters? Stupid!!
