Everyone is chasing Bama but we SHOULD be the closest as far as parity based on talent. The past couple of years we have been trading haymakers and the outcome was there for the taking by either team with the exception of 1/9.
If Bama wins the NC, Saban will be able to sell to any recruit we are both after, "Come to Bama and win Championships, go to LSU and you won't even win the Chicken Bowl" and he can easily sell Les's short falls as a coach.

I would take our teams talent over any other team in the country. Consistent QB, WR and OL play seem to be our only short falls besides the obvious Coaching blunders. And I bet if we had a real OC who was able to call plays without giving away too much based on personnel or formations he would probably fix the consistent QB, WR and OL play as well. Our D and ST kept us in every game as well as our RB corps.
