1000 lumens is a LOT of light. Surefire, a top-tier light maker, only goes up to 900. That 900 lumens will cost you $425.

Certainly you can get light cheaper than Surefire, but not THAT cheap.

It has mixed reviews on Amazon

1000 lumens will probably drain the batteries in minutes. I have a Surefire dual output with 60 and 200 lumens. On the 200 setting it will last a few hours. And while they advertise 1000 lumens, it's more realistic to get closer to 400-500 out of it. There have been a few threads about the Cree LED flashlights, and most people have had good things to say about them. I've never used one myself, so I'm not going to say no, but I'd recommend checking out reviews of this one and other lights.

I just recently purchased an Eagletac G25C2 and a Klarus XT11. Both are top notch lights that have incredible reviews. One is a 1100 lumen light and the other is 700 lumens. I suggest you look. At both of those if you want a quality light.

Redline is the best light out there hands down takes triple a, they cost 30 dollars last forever great beam. I will never buy another light. I've got a sure fire and it is now in the junk drawer. Absolutely the best light I have ever purchased.

My Eagletac just lit up the other side of the channel, over 400 yards away. Serious question, can your Redline do that? Granted, my Eagletac cost more than $30 but it also uses rechargeable 1860 batteries.

What surefire is it?

I have the Surefire Fury but hey I could always use another surefire for the right price. If its just sitting in your junk drawer then you should sell it.

Ive got the p2x fury and I'm serious look at the redline lights you can get one and the comparison is almost identical.Look em up online the main reason I now use it is because it doesnt take the 123's and lasts 3x as long.ive always had surefir, its what we used in the military and I thought it was the best there was but this en is just as good. I ran over it with my truck and the damn thing still works. The hardware store i get em at cannot keep em in stock...............what will you give for it

Is it the Dual Stage Fury? The Defender? LED?

I will give you 50 bucks for the dual output LED fury...if that is what you have.

ETA: Then you can buy another Redline and you will have an even better flashlight to throw in the junk drawer to replace the Surefire.

Correct sir, not saying it is the brightest in the world but for the price and battery usage I'm a believer. I've shot deer at 200 yads using this light you will not be disappointed if you get the redline.
