Buying a F250 XL. Just getting a low end 4x4 crew cab because I will pass it on to my crew in a few years and it will be abused. It comes with 17" wheels and small tires and I need something bigger with some grip. Anyone know the largest size I can fit on it factory? Also, whats the best place to get aftermarket wheels if I decide to go that route? Also, whats a lift and level going to run me? I assume it will need one, but I cant remember what the one I drove looked like.
TIA

my 2005 can fit 35s under it. now i did put a leveling kit on the front end, but i believe they would fit without the kit.

level with that rig will look great and run you probably 300 for parts and labor. My buddy has 37" tires on his 250 KR with a level, but 35"s would fit nicely and look great on your truck. I'm a fan of stock rims, so I'd say forget about switching wheels.

Me too but this one comes with the worst. I just hate to slap some 20's on it and have to buy 20's for now on. 17's are a lot cheaper and it will get a lot of mile and still need mud tires for where we work. Guess I will deal with them

And 300 for parts a labor is cheap enough.

You were right on the money. Finally found someone open today. 299 for a 2" lift and level and 599 for 3 on the front and 1 on the back. Should be able to fit all I want under either of those.

I had 38's on a 250 with just a 3" suspension lift back in the day.

Im can work on just about anything except the newer motors. I am going to get a price on just parts. Was surprised at how cheap it was. Think Im going with 3 and 1 as long as the 1 on the back doesnt hurt my towing ability. It will pull 15k lbs regularly.

That was 3" all the way around? I guess it would still work on a 3 and 1 since the front is what limits. Dont think I want that big though, just something to make it not look like its on training wheels. I hate waht comes on them from the factory on the low end models.

I have 35s on my 08 without rubbing. IIRC, 34s came on it from the factory
