Would not mind if Saints took Vandy QB Rodgers in late rounds to groom as a backup

No kidding. Not to mention "Backup QB to Drew Brees" in the NFL has got to be a pretty sweet deal.

A) You make more $$ than 99% of Americans
B) You don't have to worry about guys trying to concuss you every week.

Yea - I'd take that job in a heartbeat - if I could.

I'd love to have Rodgers, especially to sit behind Brees for 3 or 4 years.

I'd like someone, even mid rounds, that has a higher upside than Daniel. A can't-pass-on value QB on the board would be cool. I love the develop them investment, then reap some draft picks. Kinda like Cassel in NE or Schaub in ATL.

We're seeing how much better these rookie QBs are getting. Think how good these have looked so far with their draft pick #...

75 Wilson Seattle
88 Foles Eagles
102 Cousins Redskins
36 Kaepernick SF
152 Yates Houston
85 McCoy Browns
209 Flynn GB

Just the last few years this has been changing dramatically. The evolution of the college game to wide open passing is prepping QBs for the NFL way better than in years past.

How much Vandy football have you watched? The guy can barely throw. He has a worse arm than Chad Pennington. No one will draft him so he's all yours I guess.

Not many teams in the market for a short, stubby, fat pot belly QB.

We have too many needs and not a full allotment of draft picks to be wasting one on a QB to groom. It's too early for that IMO. Give it another 2-3 years and just stick with Daniel for now.

Exactly. We are in no rush to find Drews replacement. The man just signed a $100 M contract for god sakes.
