Has to be my own explanation of how it's both unfair and illogical, except to further enrich the rich, to tax capital gains except on new issues at a lower rate than on ordinary income.

LOL. Do you differentiate between a long term gain and a short term one? IE, would you tax a gain of $50K that from a purchase of 10 years ago the same as you'd tax a gain of $50 from a purchase 6 months ago?
