Hope to god. A pick at 47 is almost guaranteed to be another starter.
It wouldn't be 47th, would it? Don't they rotate the teams that finish with the same record? I know they used to do that.

I could see us trading back to acquire a 2nd rounder if we don't receive the 2nd back. I doubt we trade up.

After watching our corners run around lost all season, it has to be a corner at 15

Depends on how the draft is going.. We need a 2nd round pick this year so I think it would be smart to maybe trade back unless they see someone at 15 who will be a difference maker immediately. Otherwise getting 2 solid starters instead of one guy who could have more upside than actual ability ("Combine Allstar"/ "physical freak" ala Cam Jordan) will be key to the defense's rebuilding.

Will Jarvis Jones be around at 15? I can't believe people were actually rooting for us to win the last two weeks, it's more important to get a better draft pick at this point.

I remember Sedrick Ellis being touted real high when he was here during Senior Bowl Week. I mean he really did have a good week but so did Cam Jordan

does that mean he will fold in a few years too?

hell if I know. It can be hard to make the perfect pick in the first round though. Name a player in the first round that we have picked within the last 10 years that hasn't caught shite on this board they are all busts in some ways.. it never fricking ends.

Sedrick Ellis is a good example. What has he done that Suh hasn't? Atleast Ellis doesn't commit stupid penalties like that mongoloid does.

If you aren't producing QB sacks like Geno Atkins(Bengals) nobody cares what you are doing.

La'Roi Glover isn't walking through that door again either guys.

Or would everybody be cool if we had moved up and grabbed Nick fricking Fairley a few years ago? The guy can't get out of his own way. He'll frick up for a third time in his young career soon enough.

Gotta love the draft

our season is over... I'm high and low about it.

but do you know what I mean about the draft picks though?

Everybody expects the first rounders to be the next Hall of Famer or something.

I just hope whoever we draft comes in and makes an impact right off the bat. I mean its cool that we have the #15 pick and all but should I get all hyped if all that is going to happen will be everybody, including myself, be bashing this poor guy at some point? Lulz.

If we could just get a quasi-playmaker in the first round that could start right away, that'd be nice.

I mean, our defense needs help in a lot of place, but FA will have to address most of that.

And above all else, I think Williams lived up to his reputation as a poor evaluator of talent.
I'm hoping Spags will be better at that.
I think our last draft (while obviously limited) was pretty darn good.

it was tough to tell with the injuries. But I'm with you. Spags was high on Hicks. He was pretty raw coming in so I guess that is why he didn't get as much playing time as we would have liked. White looked out of place at the beginning of the season but so did everybody else on defense. He was an easy target because he was a rookie and he was the nickel back, shocker. But as the year went on he got better. He started to actually be in position to make a play( the first ATL game) comes to mind.

maybe Reid, Banks, Milliner or Ameson

I doubt Reid comes out, he needs more work. And Amerson isn't a first rounder anymore.

At this point Banks would be the top CB available at 15, because Dee is going in the top ten. Now, Xavier Rhodes from FSU has a lot of potential, and elite size to cover the likes of Steve Smith and Julio Jones.

If we go DE in the first round Dion Jordan seems like a good choice, but as much as I want him to be good wherever he goes, he just feels like a bust.

Anyone think we potentially trade up?

Size is the one thing a player doesn't need when guarding him. Had you said Jones, White, or Vincent Jackson then that would have made a little more sense.

Are LSU fans all over this board yet? Someone let me know. Should we draft the entire team?
