High end and up there with Nike in that regard but not as well known. My gateway drug into Brooks stuff was a pair of Pure Cadence shoes: Nothing else will do now. Everything they make is amazing.

I run in Brooks Glycerine (9). I also have a Brooks shirt ... love it but it is a tad short.

I like the way the shoes allow for less heel to ground contact.

That's why I got the Pure Cadence. I was getting a twinge in my right knee when running and have never had knee problems. My brother who has been a distance runner for years recommended them and it was game over for that knee pain. I've had a shoe fetish my entire life and I've always had nice shoes but when I put those damn things on, it was a religious experience. I'll never own anything else the rest of my life. It feels a little strange at first because they distribute your weight different than what you are used to but I wear them like house shoes now. I started buying everything Brooks after that, even jackets and non running stuff. Amazing.

Best shoes I've found. Enjoyed two pairs of cascadia and now the trailblade. Worth the extra $. Great on-line customer support.

That is EXACTLY what has been happening to me lately. It's the reason why I'm going to Brooks for my next pair of running shoes. I love my Asics now, but I need something that is going to help keep my heels from striking the ground.

Yup good stuff. I've run in brooks for the last several years... Never a problem. Running clothes are a little pricey, but are worth it.... Have several items. Might be moving to the pure cadence next week. My last 2 pair of shoes have been KSwiss blade lights. They have a heel drop similar to the cadence but these frickers pick up too many rocks. I love my KSwiss, but its time for a change.

Pretty much all my running gear is Brooks. Been wearing Brooks Ghost for a few years now. They send emails every week and can find some deals on clothing.

http: // oi45.tinypic.com/ 5mgu1s.jpg Link to better sized image to use in your OP --- I like the stuff and I regret buying all Nike for my workout clothes. I'll have to check it out the next time I'm in the market.

i rotate between the pure flow, saucony kinvara 2 and kinvara 3. the brooks are my least fav...they just feel heavy and slow compared to the kinvaras. but good shoe. also have some brooks rogue runner shorts that i wouldn't trade for anything.

BD, you might try the Brooks Beast. You are a bigger guy, IIRC.

I don't need shoes with extra support so they don't seem that great to me. I'm planning to switch to Newton's after my marathon. That said, I really do like Brooks.

For someone like me they're a Godsend. Adidas, Nike, Reebok all end with me rolling my ankle when doing anything more than a leisurely walk. I underpronate like a mofo. I realize I could get shoes from other companies that help just as much, but Brooks was my first introduction into a specialized shoe so I've stuck with them. Currently in the Ghost 5 and they're great. A little more toe room than I'm used to personally, but still 10x better than anything I've owned from Nike.
