Pre-req: 50% or more of the band from the Dayton metropolitan area (e.g. pixies are out).
Entrees:
The Breeders
The Amps
Guided By Voices
Braniac
Ohio Players
CeCe Peniston
Lou Barlow
The Kelley Deal 6000
Hawthorne Heights
Robert Pollard (solo)
Tobin Sprout (solo)
Twelve Tribes
For me, it comes down to GBV vs. The Breeders (if the amps lasted more than one album, or if braniac's lead singer doesn't die, they would be in consideration). Bee Thousand ultimately transcends indie music, even more than Pod, so they have my vote.
/not expecting anyone to give a shite.
