| Rules of Attraction: how intense is the bathtub scene? (Posted on 12/28/12 at 8:56 am)
Spoilers I guess When the girl slits her wrists. Perfect song choice with Harry Nilsson's Without You. Intense scene in an otherwise unremarkable movie. LINK

I never did get the point of the movie.

I read Less Than Zero and felt the same way. The only BEE book and movie that really stood out to me was American Psycho. It is interesting to note that all of the characters exist in the same universe though. JDVB's Rules of Attraction character is Patrick Bateman's younger brother.

I've never read RoA, but I do like Ellis' writing. Less Than Zero is a great read, especially if you're younger. I recently read his fictional biography Lunar Park and it was amazing. Powerful, almost cinematic ending for a book.
