Random Broadcast Question

This may be more suited for MSB but I like this board much better. That being said during football broadcasts, who makes the decision on which plays are shown on replay? Does it come from the producer and the announcers just have to comment/telestrate on whatever comes up, or do the announcers choose the plays? Just curious, and yea this is a drunk question. Just noticing that sometimes during games thehy seem to show really random replays...While whathcing replay of saints/cowboys
