LSU runs a spread option type offense with

Jennings at QB
Fournette as the workhorse
Jeryl Brazil + Speedy Noil as the scat back DeAnthony Thomas type
Desean Smith, Jacory Washington, Trey Quinn in the slots
Diarse + Malachi Dupree on the outside
Cam Robinson, Dodd, Pocic as the athletic olinemen

I think that a spread-run offense but with a slower tempo could definitely work w the guys we are trying to get.. A guy can dream right?

he can run, but just because he is black do not assume he is some option qb

He's listed as dual-threat and runs the same 40 as Johnny Manziel. I know he has great accuracy and prefers to pass.. But why can't he run that type of offense? The short pass is a huge part of a spread offense as well

Just because Rivals says something it doesn't make it true. All those measurables are unverified.

If you look on 247, which I believe is much more accurate, he's listed as a pocket passer, or whatever they named that category.

Dear Christ

Just watch his film, he isn't remotely like Manziel. He's a pocket psser first and foremost, just has decent mobility. He wont ever run for more than 200ish yards in college. He's much more like Matt Flynn.

I've seen his film and saying he can run a spread option isn't a knock on his passing ability. He already runs the spread passing offense in HS. His mobility allows him to extend plays.. But with fournette and les miles rep, I was assuming it would still be run heavy but in more open formations due to the type of athletes we are targeting

Prepare to get blasted. For whatever reason, people love two tights, two backs and consistently running into a pile of defenders.

Anything other than this is considered gimmicky, and not real offense. Oh, and all that other gimmick stuff will never work in the SEC.

We pretty much turned Jefferson who was a pocket passer into an option QB.

as long as Miles is at LSU, there won't be a spread offense.

if anything, we need to be multiple like bama's.

This

Remember that we brought in RP as a change of pace read/option QB when Flynn was here.

Maybe because we're seeing our rival play for their 3rd BCS title doing that exact thing?
