Compared to Johnny Patrick, PRob looked like Mel Blount out there.

I still think P Rob has the skills to be good. maybe its a system adjustment to a degree and/or reliance upon safety play.

They both gave up two TDs and PRob's man went for 220. Plus at least the TD's Patrick gave up were on tough routes to cover, especially the 1st one.

He made a good play jumping that slant route in overtime but other than that I don't know what he's talking about.

i agree with that. on the first, long TD, he had no safety help at all. was that blown coverage?

on the second one, he slipped and missed a tackle...but so did 2 or 3 others on the team. no reason that should have gone for a TD.

the third one was just stupid, though. pretty terrible coverage there. (eta: was the miles austin orange man TD against P Rob or Patrick?)

but outside of those 3 awful TD plays, he did really well

that was Patrick. He showed no sense of urgency on that play... its not like the game was on the line or anything. That was bad.

Dude gets way too much flack on here, he's not that bad. With a better Dline, he's an above average corner

I'm reserving judgment on the secondary as our front seven is, at the very least, one of 3-4 worst in football

Agree. The Jason David comparisons are ludicrous.

i mean, he had a very good second half...did Dez catch more than 1 pass in the half?

He was supposed to have help from Harper - not that he would have actually helped. Harper bit badly on play action.

targeted once in the 3rd, and it was incomplete. then he had 4 for about 80 in the 4th. still not awful, considering the defense was starting to soften up by the time he caught a few of those, since they had a 2TD lead.

Patrick Robinson and his shitty coverage skills need to be addressed. I can't handle another year of Jason David. Matter of fact I want Tracy Porter back.

Prob gets physically outmatched easily, especially by someone like Dez Bryant, but he's eons better than Johnny Patrick

Over the past couple years, he's been our best CB at making a play on the ball, but the last few weeks it's seemed like he either loses it or never spots it. Happened against the Giants, where he never spotted it, and then on Dez's first TD yesterday, he seemed like he never tracked it. In position, but lost the ball.
