NRA: how can you trust an organization whose mission statement is such a lie?

The NRA's mission statement from their website:

quote:

Mission Statement

Established in 1990, the NRA Foundation, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that raises tax-deductible contributions in support of a wide range of firearms-related public interest activities of the National Rifle Association of America and other organizations that defend and foster the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding Americans. These activities are designed to promote firearms and hunting safety, to enhance marksmanship skills of those participating in the shooting sports, and to educate the general public about firearms in their historic, technological and artistic context.

Promote safety and educate the public... blah blah blah. We know instead, don't we, that the NRA's PRIMARY mission is to sell guns... as many as possible. Why is there no mention in their published mission statement of their desire to promote the marketing of their sponsors' weapons?

"But they get their money from small donations from their four million members!", you say. Some, sure... but we know that in the past seven years they've received tens of millions of dollars from 22 separate gun manufacturers. LINK

That thing is rock solid truth compared to any speech made or position taken by Obama. Hell, Bernie Madoff is like George Washington compared to Obama.

Dear Rex,

The NRA mission statement says nothing irresponsible. If you seek to make inflammatory statements about something I suggest you find someone other than a group that promotes the protection of one of our civil liberties.

Love,
DonChowder

And yet daily you drop to your knees to perform with oral brilliance and lack of gag reflex for your savior Barack Hussein Obama.

Not surprised that you have difficulty with reading comprehension. The NRA didnt say its mission is to promote safety in general but rather promote HUNTING safety, not to educate the public in general but to educate the public ABOUT FIREARMS.

Rex knows this. He worships his lord and savior Obama who is against the 2nd amendment. He just does the bidding of his master.

So what if they have money? The NRA does not promote or advocate crazy-ass people stealing their parent's weapons and shooting children.

It's not the NRA's fault that thugs shoot thugs either.

quote:

tatement is such a lie

You have become a living caricature of a failed comic.
You do realize, don't you, that not one poster on here thinks you are credible on anything you say - because your very nature is that of a liar. Even people who agree with many of the things you say don't believe you are speaking relevant information.

Everything you say is a twisted distortion of some factoid.

Sad indeed.

Rex, as usual, you're wrong.

Their gun safety program is outstanding. They have educational programs such as Eddie Eagle which do an excellent job teaching gun safety to children. In the Ct. shooter's Mother had bothered to educate herself, the tragedy could have been prevented.

The NRA trains and certifies firearms instructors for the purpose of gun safety.

Once again Rex, you are wrong.
