Iron Butterfly bass player found dead in L.A. at age 70. I remember seeing the I-G-D-V lineup at the Swing Auditorium in San Berdoo in 1969. I always thought Dorman was underrated or maybe just overlooked as an excellent bass guitarist because IB was slagged a lot by the press even in their heyday. Anyway, here's a live version of "Vida" from 1968:

Lee was amazing in Captain Beyond - do yourself a favor, and check out Captain Beyond

ahhhh - I know what you mean. Me and CB go back a long ways - such a great band. Bobby Caldwell on drums was a mutha. The intro to "Dancing Madley Backwards" is classic. Caldwell was the primary writer in the band
