From what I've heard, he's a blocking TE, but others can probably fill you in more. I really haven't seen much tape because there's not much available.

I guess he and Gordon will fill in for Clement next year as the blocking TE. Dickson and D. Smith will be the receiving threats.
This is under the assumption Jacobs doesn't come back from whatever his deal is. That's a solid group for next year. Dickson came on nicely at the end of the year and we haven't had a guy like Smith in a long time.

Stokes' scholarship never had any bearing on Carter, so him signing his LOI will continue to have no bearing on Carter.

I would love to seem him used the way the 49'ers use their TE by putting him in motion to blind side one of the DL on a run up the middle. While the DT is ingaged with our guard, the TE slams the DT from the side and he never sees it comming.
The 49'ers kept blasting holes up the middle against the Bears with that play.

I think officially he would have been 2013 but will be an EE and count towards the 2012 numbers...I could be wrong but this is my understanding.
