Said he enjoyed his in home with Miles and Wilson. Said LSU has done a good job recruiting him.

Says Alabama feels like a second home. Article says he plans to commit on Jan 4th and take an official to LSU on Jan 18. When asked if he'd really do that he said:

quote:

"I don't know if the coaches at Alabama would like it if I did that. But I pretty much know. I think I pretty much know."

Where is this article from? Article on 247 after the in-home had a very different vibe.

Just wondering if it was premium or just nola.com or something.

Seems bad. The other seemed very good.

TBH, I'm usually pretty optimistic about in state guys. I think our chances are slim with Beckwith.

I am still cautiously optimistic. In Sonny and Shea I trust!

getting Beckwith after Collins and Deval would be a little blow to the ego IMO

Just from reading that quote, it could be interpreted that he's saying he'll commit (to some team) on the 4th. When asked if he'd really commit to Bama, then visit LSU afterwards, he says thinks Bama would not like that. The fact he's planning to visit LSU after he commits to a team on the 4th, coupled with his comments, could lead one to believe he knows it's LSU.

Plus Sonny and Shea both feel like it's LSU at this point, and they aren't just guessing - they have contacts at LSU and Bama.

I love this guy. He's super athletic. Could fill a DE or LB need for LSU. I honestly think he's the best athlete in the state, IMO of course. Just personal opinion but I think he ends up at DE and becomes a beast.

I feel the same. Though I think he has a bright future playing LB. Chavis can help him become a great player.

He might play some DE next year, but he'll become a starting LB after a couple years.

I am not sure what the hell to take from the kid's comment.

However, if he's saying that he wants to commit to BAMA on Jan. 4th, and depending on what Saban tells him, he'll throw LSU a bone and visit here on Jan. 18th......

That really rubs me like a really cocky, ego-maniacle move. It would be a lot like LC - wasting our time - which helps BAMA.

However, I haven't read anything to lead me to believe that Beckwith is that sort of a headcase.

If I'm wrong, please tell me how!

That is how I read it too. I couldn't have explained it better.

Synopsis: He would go to LSU on official, if he was going to commit there. He would not have scheduled the LSU visit if he was committing to 'ama

This is not just you, lots of people are/ have said this.

I can not comment on this personally, but if so many people are saying this, who have seen him personally, then dude must be something special.

Here's hoping he is in P&G

Shea pretty much believes that Beckwith is all LSU. Pretty sure about this one. I still am worried.

I don't know how you spin this to look good for LSU. Mini-man doesn't want him tripping to LSU after making a commitment during AA game...

Because he's already got the official visit with LSU schedule for after he announces. So he's not sure if Bama would like it, but he doesn't think it's going to be an issue because at the moment he's planning on attending LSU.

Or maybe he's just saying he pretty much knows how Bama would feel about that visit.

There's absolutely nothing in that quote that looks bad for LSU.
