in science classes and dumb revisionist history.
Not sure if this is binding or not because of the idiotic Louisiana Science Education Act (intelligent design law), which will probably never be repealed.

But kudos to them for making an effort to keep ghost stories out of science class.

It only might effect the half dozen or so schools the Board still controls, the 70 or so charters aren't affected.

Kind of what I was thinking. It is strictly a strictly token measure, I guess, but you have to start somewhere.
LA., I believe, is the only state that legislatively supports the teaching of creationism/ID/whatever euphemism you want to call it.
I challenge all teachers to teach the Muslim, Buddhist, Shinto, Hindu, Native American "origin" stories in their science classes, and exclude the Biblical version. It will be within the letter of the law. I'm sure parents will be ok with that, no?

The fact most of those voting for it were just defeated and this was their last meeting, might make a cynical person agree with that.
But NO isn't a hot bed of creationism.

Well evidently, you are smart enough to show that the creation account in Genesis is flawed and wrong. To make a bold comment like that, I though you would be able to defend your position. Maybe you can't and are just ignorant to facts! Notice I said facts, not assumptions.

I don't care for Creationism but I don't have a problem with it being taught. In fact I think it should be included, just kind of back burnered.

Public Schools shouldn't be teaching creationism is class but to teach evolution its place is a bigger joke.

Meh, I just don't understand why the two can't be taught side by side, and that's coming from a believer in evolution.
Many of these people are so adamant to keep these "ghost stories" out of school, that I wonder if they would be ok with having mandatory classes denouncing religion.

Why? At least evolution is based on scientific research. Creationism has absolutely no base in science. It's a joke that it would be taught in a public school science class. Roman mythology is backed by the same amount of science creationism is.

1- Has evolution connected all of the dot? You know the answer to this... I hope.
2- Do you wish to apply the same test equally used in science to the creation account? You see that's where most people back out. They only want to apply the scientific method when it benefits them. You can not apply rules unevenly. The bottom line is truth right?
