Has anyone heard anything about him being back next year? Looks like the chicken bowl is out of the question.

RS Sophmore TE from Many, La.
Had developed into a nice sized blocking TE with better than expected results catching the ball this year.
It's a loss if he is done for good.

I dont think it's a big deal as far as pass catchers go, but I liked his size for blocking.
It may explain LSUs increased interest in TEs on the recruiting trail though.
He had a few catches this season, but Dickson played really well vs Ole Miss and showed some nice hands.

yeah, he was leading the TEs in catches when he went out.
not necessarily a big thing I know, but it looked like they were making more of an effort to get him the ball (see the overthrow vs. aTm when he was running wide open, and the goal line throw Mett throw about 10 ft too high vs. SC)
I only expected him to be a blocking TE, but he looked surprisingly agile for a 265 lb guy and showed good hands.

I'm not positive, but I thought I heard something about Jacobs leaving due to family obligations/issues.
