Unless you already have a Trust set up or in the works, I highly recommend staying away from any NFA item. You'll order it now and wait at least 6 months before you can get it due to BATF paperwork. So that means your total barrel length needs to be at least 16". I'd get a 16" barrel and then look around for flash suppressor/compensators. There are a ton of different designs out there, or you could just go with the A2 flash hider to keep it simple.

I just got my BCM Comp from Ranier before I even got the upper from PK that I was supposed to receive earlier 
Since I have no lower anyway, going to bring it to Barking Irons on Wednesday to have them pin it

Well PK has been good about pumping them out.
One more thing though, they assemble and build the uppers there, those are complete uppers built at DD and shipped, so that is one thing to consider. PK has gotten a pretty good name for itself through all this, and I think the only difference is they build on M4 uppers with the rails, instead of slick uppers that DD sometimes comes with. Still think they are DD uppers, and they said its still the DD tested BCGs

Guys on the forum were wrong.
That sucks. I ordered it and it said out of stock, then I tried to again and it said in stock.

Similar DD? No, you wont find DD cheaper than that, because those are cheaper than the ones assembled at DD and shipped out.
I mean they are expensive compared to some other builds out there, like PSA and BCM. I would recommend BCM to you first, because thats probably one of the better quality to price deals out there, but they just dont post any because of how backed up they are, and when they do, its no BCG, or it sells out in 3 minutes.

I meant 1k total, with lower/lpk included. The only BCM upper I have seen with a BCG sold for $730, I bought mine without handguards or BCG/Ch for $425

Lasted all of 10 minutes
Didnt know much of them, may think about the forged one that is rumored to be in stock later this week, esp if its got the ambi controls installed. I can flip one of my other two fairy tale lowers that are ordered if they ever ship

I've seen a few billets available in the last few weeks, but I know absolutely nothing about the billet stuff. Of course one misleading fact about the forged ones are the "aircraft grade aluminum" that's used. Almost all aluminum in use on an aircraft is extruded, not forged. Not sure why they advertise the aircraft grade thing when forging makes it stronger that extruding.

I am not in the know on that either, but do know that I am getting restless about the lowers I ordered, and I know Ranier has shipped me stuff much faster than anything else so far, so I will be able to justify it if I see them in stock
