At what point do they end this first movie?

I'm rereading the story with my son before going to see it, and just got to the part where the eagles come and save them from the wolves and goblins. Given it was about a third of the way into the book and felt like a solid break point, I was thinking it might be there?

He's looking forward to seeing it and I wouldn't mind going before we've finished, so long as we've gotten past where they end this first installment.

Thanks.

The part you just got to is where they end it.

Thanks both...sort of felt like a good place to end part one.

You should probably put SPOILERS in the thread title.

Why? This movie is based on a novel published in 1937. Are there really a slew of people interested in this movie that have not read this book?

This isn't exactly like talking about plot points in The Walking Dead.

I think you overestimate the amount of people who read these days

I understand why people want spoiler tags, because not everyone read it but the concept of spoiling a book that's nearly a century old is pretty funny
