I enjoy watching these and I've seen a few posts about different movies on here from time to time. I'm about to watch one of the following just seeing if any of you have seen them.

1. Red Cliff
2. Goemon
3. Shinobi

I've seen a few. Can't remember the names but one was about an old guy and his robot g/f. It's some weird stuff for the most part.

The Man From Nowhere and Ip Man are incredible.

I tried to watch Goemon, but it was so cheesy i couldn't make it 10 min in.

I'm not sure with the Japanese movies on Netflix. I do watch a ton of Chinese/Korean films there tho.

Red Cliff is really good, but the version on instant is the abridged version. It cuts out close to 2 hours of footage.

Shinobi is pretty entertaining. It's like a ninja version of x-men. It's not nearly the same quality as far as acting/plot, but it's a fun watch

Good movie, but it's Chinese, not Japanese.

-Jiro Dreams of Sushi-
Awesome movie (obviously subtitled). This dude is a 3 star meichlien chef. He is world renown for making the best sushi, even though his restaurant is in a subway station and only sits about 12 people. reservations are made years in advance. If I did the conversion right, each meal is like $300. Worth it.

Red Cliff is Chinese, Netflix's version doesn't include both parts. It's actually hard to find the full version.

Goemon the Netflix version is dubbed I think, pretty crappy.

I haven't seen Shinobi.

Battle Royale is Japanese, very good. A bunch of Takeshi Kitano's films are pretty good. The Blind Swordman: Zatoichi a remake of the same film. Sonatine

Very violent films.

Netflix has plenty of good Chinese/Korean/Japanese films actually.

Chaser, Ong Bak trilogy(Thai films), The Yellow Sea, The Ip Man series and it's prequel, 13 Assassins, The Man From Nowhere, Legend of the Fist, Bodyguards and Assassins, Legend of the Tsunami Warrior, I Saw the Devil, Thirst, The Good the Bad and the Weird, Revenge Trilogy(Oldboy, Lady Vengeance, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance), Mother

I tried to include some of the lesser known films, avoided most of the well known Karate/Fighting types. Not so many Japanese, but a mix of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.
