At least his real-life inspiration has died:

Hard to feel bad for a confessed murderer, but prayers sent?

I guess you missed the part where he actually reformed himself and made a change in his life to atone for his crimes.

Nothing about my thread title or the content of my post has anything to do with what may or may not happen on the show, other than to reveal the character "Omar" was inspired by a real person, which is trivia I and many others find interesting. In fact, taken together, the title and my usage of "At least..." suggest Omar lives, and only his real-life inspiration has died. I'm not going to return the prickness and point out I could have been talking about Omar Sharif, which would certainly be possible, as he is still alive and can thus die.

So by reforming himself, that person was brought back to life? Whew, that's a relief.

Yeah man, it's so crazy at the end of season 4 when Omar is trampled to death by a mob of emus escaped from the zoo. Never saw it coming.

I've been watching it the last couple weeks and I'm down to the series finale. Damn good show, and it's pretty crazy to read about Omar's inspiration. Wonder if his inspiration for Chalky White is still alive
