An Open Post to Randy Savage and Bho

Not trying to engage you in shite talking, simply, The Waiter is one who gets results, why are yáll so negative about his hiring?

Randy, you always say it´s all about the final score, so, what´s the prob?

Precursor, I will laugh my arse off, as will the entire board, if either of you start talking about quality play.

Because Chelsea fans are drama queens. They spend more time booing someone during a match than actually appreciating the product on the field.

A lot of Chelsea fans hate Rafa mainly because of the CL duels between Liverpool and Chelsea. Harsh words were exchanged in years past and they can't get over it.

re: An Open Post to Randy Savage and Bho

Let me preface my post by saying while I adamantly oppose Rafa Benitez as our manager I almost feel sorry for him. It's going to be almost impossible for him to succeed under the current situation, which is part of the problem. Now, with that said, to answer your questions...

quote:

The Waiter is one who gets results

He couldn't win in England with Liverpool and he got fired after a poor performance at his last job after which he couldn't find work for nearly two years. He hasn't won a league title in nearly a decade or a meaningful trophy of any kind since 2005 unless I'm mistaken. It's certainly not like he's off to a great start at Chelsea either.

quote:

Randy, you always say it´s all about the final score, so, what´s the prob?

The problems, for me anyway as I don't want to speak for all Chelsea fans though it seems many agree, are...

1. He is replacing a manager who just won the Champions League 6 months ago who also happened to be a former Chelsea star and a first class man. Few people would have been accepted by Chelsea supporters following RDM under the current circumstances.

2. He has a history of showing a complete disrespect to the club. He claims he was just sticking up for his former team but what does degrading Chelsea Football Club and its supporters have to do with sticking up for Liverpool?

3. He has a history of not getting along with his superiors and now it's somehow going to work when his superior is probably the most difficult boss to work for in the world? This, coupled with the fan sentiment, has disaster written all over it.

4. I personally am not really concerned with the style of play but our owner is. Abramovich essentially ran off the greatest manager in the game largely over this point but now we are supposed to believe Roman is going to be happy with a far inferior version of a pragmatist like Jose Mourinho? If playing ugly and winning trophies isn't good enough then what is going to happen we are playing ugly and fighting for 4th?

5. He's a Fat Spanish Waiter.

I just don't see anyway this works out long term and am really not thrilled at the idea of having to hire yet another manager at the end of the season.

He was holding out for a managerial position at La Tasca

Nobody worth a damn.

Look at the job he just took. A man with options is not going to go into a situation like this and take the abuse he is taking/going to take. He was clearly desperate.

Randy, I´ve got to admit, I like you, that verve and stick to your guns mentality when you´re wrong is very appealing. Really.

The Waiter hasn´t accepted myriad offers, because he doesn´t need to, financially speaking. He´s all about opportunities, no matter how daunting.

Di Matteo has nothing to do with this, unless Chelsea changes management. I for one, like the guy, and feel sorry for him.

Your BS about sticking up, defending, are you trying to say you don´t like an American style guy? You are quite the gung ho ´merrican, so I really don´t get this. Results, aren´t you all about that, at all cost? I think you are. GTFO.

BTW Nobody will work out, long term, at Chelsea. I wish the translator would go back there. Really.

You asked my opinion about why I don't like Benitez and I gave it to you. How is that "wrong"?

Yes he does. Benitez, or any manager, would be more accepted if they weren't replacing a guy who the supporters almost universally loved and was 6 months out to leading the club to the highest moment in its history.

I'm saying that, while it's what he is trying to save face and claim now, it' not what he was doing. How is disrespecting Chelsea Football Club and its supporters anywhere close to the same thing as sticking up for Liverpool? The whole "I was just sticking up for my team" is a bullshitee cop out.

quote:

Results, aren´t you all about that, at all cost? I think you are. GTFO.

Yea I am, there are plenty of managers who can get results with this squad so there is no reason to settle for someone with the history Benitez has with this club. It's also yet to be determined if Benitez can even get results here but he sure hasn't gotten off to a bright start.

Possibly true, but you can see the train wreck this will end in coming a thousand miles away.

I wish the translator would go back there. Really.

Me too, more than anything.

It´s done everyday in America, how can you claim this as a valid argument as to his being a poor hire?

He´s spent alot of time in England, and knows that God forsaken island, I don´t get your sudden ´true to colours´mentality. Chelsea is a mercenary destination, you know it, I know it.

BTW Di Matteo´s success was serendipity at it´s finest. ´Mon back, ´mon back. You know that, I know that. He was simply there. There is no need to make him a demigod.

I'm not blaming him for what he did or said. If he felt that was what he needed to do in the best interest of his team then so be it and that's exactly what I would want my manager to do.

However, he said what he said and acted how he acted and now he has to live with the consequences because he's trying to cross a bridge that's been burned. Fans are not going to forget when someone openly disrespects the club they support, nor should they.

He may know it, but he hasn't shown he can win on it.

Sudden?

As are nearly all top jobs.

re: An Open Post to Randy Savage and Bho

I thought he´d be a ´lifer´at the Pool, as did many. As did he.

He fricking won a CL, with a quarter of the talent that Di Matteo watched back in to the CL championship.

I don´t understand Abramovich either, I´d imagine he´s just happy to still be alive, and is going 120 MPH, ´till the ride ends.

This hire makes sense, and the problem lies in the fans, as if they´ve got something of substance and history to rely upon.

Will he have success? I have no idea, but the poncey bitching from a fan base which has no idea of class, let alone football, soccer, shouldn´t be a swaying factor.

I get their love for Di Matteo, and once again, am appalled at what has transpired, but, I don´t see how this hire is anyway out of line with Abramovich´s MO. Not at all.

ETA Just because Abramovich is now based in the UK does NOT mean he is safe. He is accessible, and we will hear of a suicide, which in reality, was a hit.

Again, that's fine. I'm just saying you have to live with your choices.

And you aren't trying to engage in shite talk?

If you wanted to pitch this fit you should have just done it from the start, I would have at least respected that. What was the point in acting like you wanted to have a civil conversation? Now you just look like a bitch.

No, no shite talk. He has proved his merit.

Bitching? Maybe, Chelsea are scum, with or without Abramovich. This is universally known.

Again, to surmise, it´s a logical hire, and I don´t get the BS about it. ´Tis not a club to bitch about anything.

God I wish we could be noble bastions of the game like they have at Barcelona. Nothing is more inspiring than watching them flop and bitch their way through 90 minutes until the ref can pick his spot to gift them whatever it is they need. Truly a wonderful representation of the game.

Not surprising a bitchy wannabe Spaniard would know nothing of pride or dignity.

Haha so much fail in that post. He's a Madrid guy at heart and far from a wannabe spaniard. If anyone besides yourself thought he looked like a "bitch" I think you've effectively swayed their opinion

I don´t speak for Barcelona, but you must commend they´re taking the game to their adversary.
