Bradley Braves beat writer tweets Creighton leaving the Missouri Valley Conference. Announcement coming.

Also tweeted Evansville to Horizon. EU AD denied the report.

On phone and can't link better.

Omaha. Great following there though. Much more so than Nebraska basketball.

Butler and Xavier are more than happy in the A10 I'd have to think

If they're staying all Catholic, Xavier, Dayton, and St Louis will be the next calls. If they aren't worried about that, then Butler will get an invite very soon.

What happens to an upswing mid major conference in the Valley? Some solid FCS football schools that may be wanting to move in Northern Iowa, Illinois State, and Missouri State. All have solid basketball too.

They're about 470 miles from Chicago, which I believe is the closest to them of the C7 cities. That's why I expect St Louis U to get an invite soon.

Those two plus the catholic schools would be far more marketable than is the current A-10 I would think

They'll be fine. They'll pick up someone else in the area that fits and keeps the league profile up.

ETA: I think Murray St would fit there.

If they are going to form an all but football sports league than they need to add Notre Dame.

Bad news

Missouri Valley is one of my favorite basketball only conferences

Went to their conference tournament in 2007 and had a great time

Please don't kill off another good basketball conference

How pissed will ACC be then. UNC and GT may go to B1G in that case.

Arch Madness is a great time. Especially last year.

They should officially call it the Catholic League. And find a great venue for the conference tournament.
