I'm seriously addicted to this game. About to finish my first play-through and already planning what I'm going to do in my second. Absolutely one of the best RPG's on the market. I hate that games are made to where anyone with hands can beat them now. Love the challenge. If you're into this sort of genre I highly recommend it. Planning on finding Demon Souls, too.

When I saw this thread I thought:

Carson: FIRST!! Lol

Nappy is on it now too. I give you full credit. The only reason I have it is based on your recommendation and my subsequent reviews which led to the same for nappy. Game. Is. Awesome.

Not far. I've actually been playing a lot of COD lately.

I've just been running around leveling up in Undead Burg. I'm thinking about starting over actually. Not really happy with the character I created.

Question: What is the benefit of becoming human?

I wish there was a true co-op for this game. Me, you, and Nappy could do some work. Can't even be in party chat or it kicks you back to the main menu

Co-op is such a defining feature for me now. If a game doesn't have it, it's close to being a deal breaker. Only a few games can get away with not having it IMO.

I enjoy co-op but it's not really a must for me. I've found in the 2-3 games I've tried to co-op with people it gets to be a grind trying to find time that everyone is available. Easier to just get together when you can and play MP

Plus, sometimes I just wanna chill out by myself and get lost in a game. RDR comes to mind. Dark Souls is the same way to me. I like to just roam and do my own thing without having to coordinate with another person and stay "on track"

Is it really 100 hours of gameplay?

Dark Souls co-op being so terrible was the main reason I sent it back to gamefly so fast.

They should make it easier. But the gams thrives off being a pain in the arse.

Branner doesn't like things to be difficult.

It shouldn't take 100 hours of gameplay to beat Dark Souls. Maybe if you want to get all achievements, or do multiple playthroughs with different classes.

I dislike how minimal the story is. Until you are nearly done you have no say in the plot. It was fun in the fact that I couldnt just run through it like say assassins creed, but without a real character development or far reaching evolving plot I felt grind zombie

Why is this necessary? You're in an ever evolving world that is seamless. You're trying to get from point A to point B but have endless freedom on how and which order to you do so.
