Sunseri had not coordinated before and UT didn't/doesn't have the players to run the 3-4. He's a career position coach. Steele was a good DC before he got to Bama and a hell of a recruiter. He was in his late 40s by time he got to Saban. I wouldn't call him a "Sabanite". As for Willis, he was an LB coach for ONE year under Saban. Don't hang that failure at tech on Saban. If anything, he's a Tubs guy.

Why not give Saban credit for muschamp and fisher if we are gonna try to blame him for those that were already established before Saban got them? At least smart, muschamp, and fisher were under Saban during their formative coaching years.

Who's blaming anyone? Those are simply the facts. If anything, it's a testament to the complexity of saban's defense.

Quit being so defensive.
