| If you play the waivers (Posted on 12/13/12 at 10:57 am)
from the losers bracket, you are even more of a loser than you already were. That is all.

Not really. That's an owner doing his part. You suck.

It pisses me off when owners who aren't in the playoffs in a money league pick up players off waivers during the playoffs. That's why in our league we charge $2.50 a transaction throughout the year. Owners who make the playoffs split that 25/25/20/10/10/10. 6 team playoffs.

This thread again? If the player you would be getting off the waivers at this point in the season is your make or break player, you have no depth and deserve to lose.

Montell Owens was actually a good pickup last week. Probably helped someone get an undeserving win.

Had this thread yesterday, went like 4 pages. Everyone's pretty split on this on the board, I don't see a problem with it

eta: eh, just realized that they were still playing in the losers bracket. That is slightly different. But I will leave my comment. That's a pretty naive comment. In the last 3 or 4 weeks I've lost Gronk Mcgahee Andre Brown Parmele Fred Jackson Bowe I was the #1 team before that. I've picked up Moreno and DeAngelo Williams, both of which helped me win my first round. This week I picked up David Wilson and Montell Owens. At least one of them will be starting for me. Thanks to deangelo with his 53 yards td reception at the end of their game, I won by 6. So don't give me that crap. If I were in this position and some dumb frick not even in the playoffs took some of those players I would be pissed. My league charges $3 per transaction all year. And when the playoffs start, only those still playing get to make transactions.

If you're in a fantasy league with friends it's all about shite talking and bragging rights. You better believe if I'm out of it there are people in the playoffs I would rather see lose more than others. So I'm vulturing that waiver wire for any and everything handcuff, new starter, etc. Frick anyone who thinks different. Plan better next time

I was in a league where the winner of the losers bracket would get some money. Did it as an incentive for people to stay active.

I mean it's well within the rules and all, you're just a loser if you are spending time scouring the waiver wire so you can try to win your #9 vs. #10 loser bracket matchup. If you miss the playoffs just give it up and do better next year. As for me, I'm #1, so suck it.

If you don't like it, change the rules. If it's within the rules, eat a dick /s Someone who is the #1 seed and doesn't need your pathetic waiver claims

Ok, let's take the absurd argument the lot of you are making and take it to the extreme. Championship round. The #1 seed vs #2 seed. The #1 seed has a rock-solid team. Overall points leader, etc, etc. Seed #2 is very mediocre. They had very good luck throughout the season with their matchups, won their division, took advantage of their bye, etc. The week of the championship, there is a major RB injury where the backup is legit. Do you honestly believe that only the two teams "still in it" should play the wire? The logical conclusion is that the #2 seed is now the top waiver seed, guaranteeing them the ability to drastically improve their team. That makes zero sense whatsoever. tl:dr = Quit your fricking bitching.

Well you sound like a huge #2 you crybaby. They're playing and have as much right to the players as you do.

Never said they didn't, just said they are losers. I mean what is the thought process there? Is there nothing better you have to do in your life than sitting around thinking "who can I pick up so I can be the number 9 team in my Fantasy League instead of #10?"
