What are your choices for the following Saints rewards, here are mine:

MVP: Drew Brees - Although he has not played well as of late, an MVP IMO is someone who if taken off the team, it would fall apart.

Defensive Player of the Year: Cam Jordan - 56 Total tackles and 33 solo with 7 sacks. This guy with another play making DL is very scary.

Offensvie Player of the Year: Marques Colston - My first thought is to hand all offensive awards to Brees, but if I'm picking other players who contributed significantly, Colston has been at the top of that list. 65 REC 889 YDS 8 TD with a long of 40 has Colston on track for another 1K yard season. He has quietly put together a very good and consistent season, although he seems to have one very costly fumble per year (Giants-2012/Packers-2011).

Rookie of the Year: Joe Morgan I have to admit I didnt believe this guy had work ethic or sure hands to be successful in the NFL, but I was dead wrong. The Saints have found the new Devery Henderson but with much better hands. Morgan is currently sitting at 7 REC 310 YDS and 2 TD, but its hard to say that each one of those catches wasnt a game or momentum affecting catch.

Bust of the Year: Malcolm Jenkins I had high hopes that Spags would bring out the best in Jenkins, but finishing third on the team in tackles and only one INT is not play making FS numbers to me. I will always say that I believe Jenkins belongs at CB.

Coach of the Year: Spags This one is tough to fill in such a terrible season, and by no means do I believe in giving awards to coordinators who would most likely be fired in any other situation, but Spags has gotten this defense to buy into his system and get better every week. With a draft and offseason with Saints at full strength, I believe Spags can get this defense back to playing complimentary football, and let Brees carry us to glory.

Rewards? You mean awards?

But I agree with most of that. So stoked that Morgan is playing well. He's really that missing piece on our offense. When Devery is off, everyone else we had were really possession guys with the only other being Moore who is the prototypical slot guy. Morgan has had some pretty amazing catches this year, that bomb in the NYG game being second only to that TD against TB

Yup. Jordan gets better every game. Thats what you want to see out of a young player.

I want to disagree with you here, but trying to find the reasons to do so. I think the receivers as a whole have been very sloppy with the football (ie not completing catches, drops, not securing the football). The only other guy I see giving it to is Brees. I want to put PT here simply for continuing to play tough when called on, but his stats are nothing spectacular.

100% agreed.

Bust of the Year: Malcolm Jenkins

You can insert Will Smith here too. I think we move Jenkins back to CB, he's still a viable player. But Smith is just not an impact player anymore.

Coach of the Year: Spags

Agreed. Imagine being given the keys to a car built to go 300 mph and ask it to tow a travel trailer with no checkbook. Thats basically what Spags has had to deal with.

guys smith has had 5.5 sacks. yea it is not much, but we have no pass rush up the middle. I don't think he should a be starter, but can be a capable back up.

I thought Malcolm Jenkins had a solid year, if he stops tackling with by just launching his shoulder at people there is serious potential. I know we've said it all his career, but I really want to see him next year in this scheme especially if we can get a better pass rush on.

Patrick Robinson is probably the most disappointing to me despite the 3 picks, so hit much and miss. But he may be another guy that needs another year given he's played mainly man coverage at FSU/NOLA until now.

Yeah, you better watch that or Goodell will add another to his 50,000 pages of evidence showing the Saints rewarded good play.

Would agree on the Morgan ROY, but this is his second season. How about breakout player?

His stats might be one of the more ridiculous I've ever seen. I think he will have the most amazing 1 minute highlight reel of all time.
