he stated that the NFL is finished. According to him, all of the whining about concussions and stating that concussions are causing these players to commit all of these absurd actions (Belcher).
He also stated that the discipline over big hits, and possibly ceasing Kick offs will eventually be the nail in the coffin.

He also hinted around that Bountygate has been going on in the league for years, and that this controversy is not good for the game.

So let me say this again for the cheap seats: frick YOU ROGER GODDELL!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't mention that blow hard and NFL in the same post.
Rush probably really doesn't believe any of that, but he probably thinks it will help his ratings to say it.

He is right.

I can see multiple concussions leading to depressions. However, to say it is the reason the guy killed his girlfriend is BS.

I think it's been made clear that this mans opinion in regards to the NFL is garbage.

The idea that kickoffs will cease to happen is something that, 3 years ago, seemed laughable. Now, it's sadly plausible.

This is my post to another thread yesterday.

.

Look the guy is a Dick Head no doubt but as far as the devalued product.....you will be able to thank lawyers for that.

With all the concussion shite coming down the fact is the lawyers will make this into a glorified touch football game.

Its amazing that they dont realize and or care that BIG HITS are what sells this league.

Oh and College Football wont be far behind.

Yes it is.
You would think if they had any sense though they would do away with the Thursday night games and give up on the stupid idea of going to a 18 game schedule.
That kind of stuff is way more important, but I know they have to keep making more $$$$.

It is sad. The idea that one man could run football into the ground so hard while railroading just one team he would ruin it seemed impossible 8 months ago, now it seems plausible. But if he keeps doing this and fans keep watching no one will care. If the ratings drop and the owners pockets get hurt, we could see a schism in the league. I think the idea of a second league is something that was laughable not too long ago and now seems entirely plausible.

The media is so quick to blame concussions when thugs who play in the NFL do something like kill their girlfriend, fall from the back of a moving truck driven by his girlfriend trying to get away from him, or shoots themselves because they owe people a lot of money.

They never look at the players mistakes in life, their lifestyles in general, or their apparent lack of common sense.

Rush is right, we are all witness to the pussification of the NFL, which can be reversed if, by the grace of God, the owners fire Goodell and bring some backbone to the NFL.

There are lawyers working against these claims as well. You cant blame this whole thing on lawyers.

Coaches could just teach fundamentals and not stand for it when his players dont wrap up and tackle. That would fix alot of problems. But I have never seen one NFL coach ever get on a guy for stopping dead and dropping his shoulder instead of wrapping up and tackling. There is a neglect of fundamentals of football issue here.

Oh, and you can't mention Limbaugh as the source of the comment. People's vaginas are still sore that he was spot on that the bigots and social engineers saw to it that McNabb got more credit than he was due.

No it's not. The lawyers with the concussion BS will sabotage that or any league where they can make a dollar.

Goodell is a prick and what he did the Saints was personal BUT....the wussy climate of this time period in human existence is the leagues problem.

Chill out man. Did a lawyer frick your mom or wife in front of you or something? It is possible, ever heard of signing a waiver, or retirement and health benefits? Im sure a lawyer can figure out a contract for a football player to sign when he enters a new league that bars him from suing the league for injuries resulting from legal contact foreseeable in a football game, or that any injury dispute would go to mediation or arbitration rather than a courtroom, giving the new league the ability to establish a fund for their lawfirm to quickly and quietly settle all claims with past players in a simple and efficient manner.

Exactly! Like that one guy said.. This dude would terrorize his son in school.. but act nice in front of adults.

NFL has nothing to do with these people.

Stuff happens regardless.

Yeah I put it largely on the lawyers.

The brain trauma to old players is real. the fact that people enjoy and expect highlight hits in the NFL is real. The fact that the majority of players could do nothing else and make that sort of Money is real.

Like I said College game will also be affected.

I think we will have to go through a period of watered down product that starts losing money for it to revert back to the game we have all come to love.

You fixed it for yourself as it's obvious you'd prefer to go about your day with both index fingers firmly jammed into your ears singing "la la la la laaaa."
